1. PARISH ADORATION AND ROSARY FOR LIFE PROGRAM
Join our Respect Life Office during the Month of October in Praying the Rosary and Spending Time in Adoration for an Increase in a Respect for Life. The program consists of having three parishes - on the same day, in each Vicariate - offer Eucharistic Adoration and Rosary for Life beginning on October 1st through October 31st. 3. How to Be Married and Stay Engaged with Dr. James Healy
The Siena Forum for Faith and Culture is hosting several presentations as part of a Year of Marriage, the first of which is on Saturday, October 22, 1 - 4:30pm, by Dr. James Healy the Director of the Center of Family Ministry for the Diocese of Joliet.
Many couples struggle to stay engaged in their marriage, especially after the discover that marriage places demands on them, challenges them, and calls them to sacrifice for the interests of others. Dr Healy will offer practical advice on how to live the wedding vows fully, joyfully, and explain the types of intimacy needed for a marriage to thrive. Please join us. 11. Diocese of Rockville Centre Celebrates Golden Wedding Anniversaries
Special masses are being planned for couples married 50 years or more. Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Christ the King in Commack and also on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Saint Rose of Lima in Massapequa. Both celebrations are planned for 2:30 p.m.
Registration cards have been recently mailed to all parishes. Couples are asked to please pick up a registration card at the rectory, fill it out and return it to the rectory in time to reach the Diocese of Rockville Centre at least two weeks prior to the ceremony they wish to attend. Approximately one week before each ceremony, information regarding the day will be mailed to those who have registered.
Additional celebrations will be planned for spring 2011 for those who may find that more convenient.

1.DEVELOPMENTALLY CHALLENGED SPORTS PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN
CYO is proud to announce a free six (6) Recreation Program for Developmentally Challenged Children. It will be offered to children ages 9-18. Sports offered may include: Soccer, Track, Basketball, Kickball, Volleyball, and Obstacle Course. We will be hosted by St Cyril and Methodius in their parish gym, Deer Park Ave, Deer Park.
We will begin on Sunday Oct 17th to Sunday Nov 21st starting at 2pm to 3:30pm.
