the diocese employ over 1,400 lay teachers who provide quality education to
nearly 40,000 students in Nassau and Suffolk Counties from Floral Park and
Cedarhurst to Southampton and Sag Harbor.

Diocese are expected to meet the following criteria:

teacher applicants are required to be eligible for or working toward state

application process, with the Education Department conducting pre-employment
screening. Those candidates who meet the selection criteria will be referred
to schools that are in need of their services.
