August 16, 2010
“I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Denis Dillon on Sunday (August 15, 2010) morning. My heartfelt condolences go to his wife Anne, daughters Barbara and Alice Marie and their families. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Mr. Dillon, who was an honest public servant of the highest integrity. I have come to know Mr. Dillon as a father deeply devoted to his family and his Catholic faith. Mr. Dillon bore witness to that faith as a strong and principled advocate for the life of the unborn. I have offered Mass for Denis and his family and will keep them in my prayers during this difficult time.”
