Padre Pio's name is often associated with miracles, both great and small.  He suffered the physical wounds of Christ in his body, he appeared to people all over the world although he never left San Giovanni Rotondo, and he had miraculous healings result from his prayers.  But there were smaller miracles as well:  a word spoken at the right moment, a blessing given, a sin absolved.

Is it possible for us to be the bearers of small miracles as well?  Can we, too, bring the grace of God to another human being?  Our faith would tell us "yes"!  Our personal witness to Christ in our life can be a small miracle to another.  Our stories of how God has worked in us can encourage someone who might be struggling with their faith or strengthen someone who is feeling abandoned; and though we may be reluctant to share them, we should "put out into the deep" (Luke 5:4)  and, like Peter, trust Christ with the outcome.

Don't be shy about your faith - people need to hear that God cares about each of us individually. If we bear witness to Jesus Christ we can touch someone with the truth of His love and so bring another small miracle into our world.

St. Padre Pio, pray for us!
