What: Mercy Medical Center marks National Cancer Survivors Day® with its fourth annual gathering of former cancer patients and their families.
The event will also spotlight Mercy’s Comprehensive Cancer Program which has received a coveted Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.
Observed each year in June, National Cancer Survivors Day provides an opportunity for the nation’s estimated 12 million cancer survivors to join with family, friends and cancer-care medical professionals in a celebration of life and to educate the public on the issues of cancer survivorship in order to better the quality of life for cancer survivors.
