West Islip, NY – Members of the Babylon Beach Estates Association (BBEA), Incorporated, Director Jeff Schect, Vice President Lorna Beck and Director Joseph Frazier presented Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center’s Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Charles Bové (second from left) with a $1,000 check for Catholic Health Services of Long Island’s Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund. The association’s mission is to “strive to promote and improve social relations among members and residents, while improving economic and living conditions in the area.” The organization is active in civic activities and projects that may affect the community.
Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center is a 537-bed (including 100 nursing home beds), voluntary, not-for-profit hospital located in West Islip. The Medical Center, which has 4,400 employees and more than 800 physicians on staff, had 29,000 patient admissions and more than 100,000 emergency room visits in 2009.
