WHY: |
Beginning on the vigil of the feast of
Pentecost, June 3, 2006 and continuing for two weeks,
ending with the celebration of the great Feast of Corpus
Christi, June 18, 2006, the Eucharistic Congress is a
unique time in the Diocese of Rockville Centre. It is an
opportunity for each of us individually, and for all of
us together, to deepen our devotion, understanding and
reverence for the Eucharist. A Eucharistic Congress has
certain elements that form the structure and set the
focus: prayer, adoration, catechesis and renewed
commitment to works of charity. Each of these elements
will be part of the diocesan and parish celebrations
planned during the Eucharistic Congress. |
