Young Adult Apostolate Film Retreat
The Young Adult Apostolate is hosting a film retreat
entitled “The Three Faces of Love: Eros, Philia and
Agape” after Pope Benedict’s encyclical “Deus Caritas
Est (God Is Love).” The films being featured are
“Hitch,” “The Spitfire Grill” and “Hotel Rwanda.”
“I see film as the parable of today,” said Alexandra
Bastien, coordinator of the apostolate. “Just as Jesus
was able to tell us lessons, movies have become our
storytellers…so why not try to get lessons out of that
about our faith?”
The retreat is open to individuals in their 20s and 30s.
