Kathleen M. Gallagher
serves as Catholic Advocacy Network Director and
Director of Pro-Life Activities of the New York
State Catholic Conference. Mrs. Gallagher
represents the state's Roman Catholic Bishops in
presenting the Church's policy positions to
legislators, the media and other external groups
statewide. As Catholic Advocacy Network Director,
Mrs. Gallagher works to facilitate political
responsibility and public policy advocacy of
Catholic citizens across the state.
Mrs. Gallagher was a recipient of the Diocesan
Pro-Vita Award from the Diocese of Rockville
Centre in 1989 and the Diocese of Brooklyn/Queens
in 1992. Her articles have been published in state
and national magazines, religious and secular
newspapers. She is a frequent guest on radio and
television talk shows, discussing such issues as
human cloning, stem cell research, sexual
abstinence programs, abortion and conscience
protections for religious organizations. |
