BISHOP WILLIAM MURPHY’S EASTER MESSAGE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ROCKVILLE CENTRE - Bishop William Murphy in his Easter message
at the start of Holy Week reminds the faithful of Long Island
that Jesus “calls you and me out of the darkness of the past
into his own wonderful light.”
By following Jesus we can “take the sufferings of our own
lives, personally and as Church, and place them at the foot
of the cross there to be accepted by him and redeemed by him.”
The Bishop concludes “This Easter we greet one another and
embrace one another in the faith that has made us one, the
hope that gives light to our eyes.”
