Vocation for Kids
Do I  have a vocation? Yes I do!

At Baptism, each of us is called into relationship with God.  We believe it is this relationship that gives meaning and value to our lives.  The way in which we live out this relationship to God is our vocation; it is who we are. It is the way we share the God in us with other people.

God invites us to our vocation and it is our job to respond. It is important to pray that the Holy Spirit guide us so that we use the gifts we received at Baptism the way God wants us to. It is important to realize that the call to lead a holy life is open to everyone.

All Christian people have a vocation and because of this a vocation can take many forms.  Some people are called to the vocation of marriage or parenthood  while others are called to the priesthood or religious life.  There are also those who generously live out their vocation as single people.

Every vocation is a gift from God and holds equal importance in our church.Using our talents and gifts in such a way that will help others, and bringing happiness to our lives is what God wants for us. By recognizing everybody’s vocation as being part of the church, we will certainly be increasing the kingdom of God in the world!
