ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – 30 June 2009 – The Most Reverend William Murphy, Bishop, Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre, appointed Father Peter Kaczmarek, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi parish, Greenlawn, a parish he previously served as associate pastor.
Since 1992, Father Kaczmarek was the pastor of St. Gertrude parish, Bayville. He also served as associate pastor at St. Hugh of Lincoln parish, Huntington Station. Father Kaczmarek was spiritual director for six years at St. Pius X Preparatory Seminary, Uniondale, and taught for five years at Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception, Douglaston. After studies at the North American College in Rome, he was ordained in St. Peter’s Basilica in 1969.
