Holy Hour for Vocations

The first Holy Hour for Vocations of the season was held at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington on Friday, September 16, 2022.  Father Michael Duffy, rector of St Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre, celebrated, and Rev. Msgr Thomas Coogan, pastor of St Dominic parish, Oyster Bay, was the homilist.

Young people of the diocese, and those who desire to draw near to Our Lord in the Eucharist came together to pray, give praise and honor in Adoration, for the intention of opening hearts to hear the call of Our Lord to consider vocations to the holy priesthood of Jesus Christ and religious life.

“Right now you could not be in a better place and with a better person,” said Rev. Msgr Thomas Coogan in his reflection.

We are all called to consider praying in union with those discerning and studying for priesthood and religious life and that our young people will hear the call of Our Lord in the stillness of their hearts and answer the challenge to His call.

The next Holy Hour is schedule for October 21, 2022 at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception.
