The Office of Sacred Heart Institute
is a cooperative effort of the Archdiocese of New York and the Dioceses of Brooklyn and Rockville Centre to facilitate the ongoing formation of priests and deacons and strengthen the bonds of priestly and diaconal fraternity. The mission of the Sacred Heart Institute is to unite priests and deacons to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by helping them to imitate His self-emptying sacrifice for the salvation of the world. SHI provides programs for the clergy to promote personal holiness, pastoral skills, theological acumen, as well as physical and emotional well-being. In addition, SHI provides a reception process for international priests serving in the United States.
