Good Samaritan recently hosted its annual Hospitality Night for invited members of local civic groups and business professionals.  More than 100 attended and enjoyed a welcome reception and buffet dinner at Timberpoint Country Club in Great River.  Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Charles Bové spoke about the Medical Center’s premier services and applauded the audience for their support.

Several clubs such as the Lions were recognized for their generous donations to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.

“I would like to thank those dedicated individuals here tonight and those who could not be present, who through their support, contribute to the success of the hospital,” said Mr. Bové.

Mr. Bové presented the hospital’s community service award to Frank Biondo for his commitment and devotion to the annual Samarikids’ Festival. Frank is a cameraman for Sesame Street and a member of the Samarikids committee.  Each year, Mr. Biondo has donated toys, gift bags and his time volunteering at the event.

More than $120,000 was donated that evening from local clubs and organizations including a $100,000 check from the Guilds of Good Samaritan and $15,000 check from the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition.
