Following is information and media notes relating to the wake and funeral arrangements for Mr. Sheppard. 

WHAT:   Bob Sheppard Wake

WHEN: The wake is held at Fullerton Funeral Home, Baldwin, NY on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 and Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Admission to the wake is limited to family, friends and parishioners who knew him. 

Players from The New York Yankees are not expected to be at the wake for Bob Sheppard on Tuesday or Wednesday. 

Members of the working press will not be permitted inside the funeral home.


WHAT:    Funeral arrangements for Bob Sheppard
WHEN:   Thursday, July 15 beginning at 10:15 a.m.

WHERE: St. Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church 
                11 Gale Avenue
                Baldwin, NY, 11510

On Thursday at 10:15 a.m., a Liturgy of Remembrance will be celebrated for Bob Sheppard.  Members of his family, the Sisters of St. Joseph, The New York Yankees and The New York Giants will remember Mr. Sheppard’s life.

At 10:45 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mr. Sheppard.  Father Steven Camp, pastor, St. Christopher’s Parish, Baldwin, will be the principal celebrant and homilist. 
Media will not be permitted inside the Church prior to or during the Liturgy of Remembrance or Mass of Christian Burial.
If time permits, Father Camp will offer a brief statement to the press prior to, or after the funeral at the location designated for the news media.

MEDIA POOL:  There will be a location designated for news media directly across the street from St. Christopher’s Church on Merrick Road in Baldwin.  Audio speakers will be set up outside the Church.

WHAT:    Burial

Bob Sheppard will be buried in Pinelawn Cemetery.  This is open to family members only. 

Members of the news media will not be permitted inside the cemetery.
