thriftThe Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center Guild Thrift Shop, located at 179 Deer Park Avenue, Babylon, has been operated for more than 40 years by groups of volunteers supporting the vital work of the hospital.  The community service of providing affordable, useful merchandise continues to follow the mission of Catholic Health Services.  Dedicated volunteers spend many hours collecting, sorting and pricing, assisting customers and successfully reaching out to community members, while fund raising for the hospital.  Sales generated directly impact donations to The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation.

Store hours are 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday and 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays.

Gently used clothing, shoes, coats, and other items are available for men, women and children (above size 2) at very reasonable prices.   A large variety of household goods, including dishes, glassware, utensils, lamps, knick knacks and other “treasures” are available.  Special sales are located on the second floor and have included a coat sale, gown sale and “Christmas in the Attic”.

For more information on volunteering opportunities or donations for the Good Samaritan Guild Thrift Shop, please call (631) 376-4444 or visit www.good-samaritan-hospital.org.
