Catholic Schools Update 3/6/2024

Catholic Health Academic Challenge

From February 26 – March 8, 2024, twelve of the Catholic elementary schools in the Diocese are participating in the Catholic Health Academic Challenge.  Through this service project, students from kindergarten through eighth grade are completing academic activities to raise funds to help uninsured and under-insured patients of the Gianna Center pay for their care.

The activities completed by students focus on the dignity of human life.  The lives of St. Gianna Beretta Molla and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., are highlighted.  Students are also learning about Catholic Health through the Challenge.  At the same time, students are practicing their English language arts, math, science, and social studies skills.
