St. Aidan School – Williston Park

Sporting our spirit gear shows our love and enthusiasm for SAS!

Watching children at recess is a reminder that joy can be found in the simplest moments. Their laughter, boundless energy, and imagination are truly contagious!

We welcomed one more class of the sweetest boys and girls to our Nursery program yesterday! All of our two-day students had a great first day!

Our Lady of Lourdes School – Malverne

St. Agnes Cathedral School – Rockville Centre

We had a wonderful first mass together in the Cathedral today led by our very own 6th graders. Immediately following mass we held our first annual 6th grade pinning ceremony celebrating their entrance into middle school!

A Eucharistic Procession was held throughout the school. The students had a moment with the Blessed Sacrament as Father Duffy blessed the students and the halls of St. Agnes! “The Eucharist is the sacrament of the presence of Christ, who gives Himself to us because He loves us.” – Pope Saint John Paul II

Our Lady of Peace School – Lynbrook

OLP’S Kindergarten class was excited to learn about apples during a fun, engaging science lesson with Mr. Capuano and Mrs. Veltri. They enjoyed making apple diagrams and labeling the parts of the apple.

Backyard Player’s & Friends has collaborated with The Story Walk once again, to bring ‘The Survivor Tree’ to Our Lady of Peace School for a self-directed learning journey. ‘The Survivor Tree’ is about a Callery Pear Tree, rescued from the rubble, on 9/11. This story takes the reader on a journey of hope and healing. The story walk will be on display in the OLP schoolyard for the month of September.

Beginning of the School Year Mass
We gathered in the School Chapel to celebrate the Beginning of the School Year on the Feast of the Holy Cross. During the Mass, Father John reminded us that the cross comes in many shapes and sizes, are made of different things. Some are the crosses that we carry – and remind us that God loves us and will do anything to save us. Hopefully, with God’s help, we can do the same for one another. We were joined by Mr. Brian Colomban, Assistant Superintendent from the Department of Education. Thank you for visiting! We are grateful for all of God’s blessings on our school community and look forward to a great year ahead.
