The Diocese of Rockville Centre is currently seeking Accountants to work for the Office of Parish Support. Positions can be full-time (Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM) or part time (20-27 hours per week) and reports to the Director of Parish Support.
Position Summary
The position is for a detail-oriented and highly organized person who will support parish and school financial operations across the diocese. This position plays a key role in promoting sound financial stewardship by assisting parishes and schools with bookkeeping functions, financial reporting and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a mission-driven environment. Regular travel to assigned parishes is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process all approved invoices and cash receipts through computerized general ledger software.
- Ensure proper expense allocations.
- Process payments including preparing checks, obtaining proper approvals/signatures and mailing the checks.
- Remit benefit payments to the Diocese.
- Ensure proper income account and allocations.
- Deposit school tuition and record in general ledger.
- Process weekly and monthly ACH giving in general ledger.
- Ensure timely remittance of collections made on behalf of others.
- Ensure all cash receipts are deposited in a timely manner.
- Handle monthly bank reconciliations, general ledger review and general journal entries.
- Provide payroll information to HR support group for accurate processing of payroll and journalize payroll activity.
- Serve as a resource for pastors, business managers and parish staff as needed.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Familiarity with computerized accounting systems. Quickbooks experience a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new tasks and systems.
- A car to travel between parishes and schools is required.

Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Information Services supports the strategic, operational, and pastoral technology hardware and software needs of the Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre. This role assists the Director of Information Services in planning, implementing, securing, and maintaining diocesan-wide information services and technology needs in alignment with the mission, values, and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide daily helpdesk support and troubleshooting for all Diocese hardware, including but not limited to VOIP, desktops, laptops, copiers, printers and mobile devices.
- In-depth understanding and technical support of Microsoft Windows and Office 365.
- Work with our software vendors in support of all user hosted environments.
- Work with the Diocese technology vendors in support of the hardware infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud services, and end-user systems.
- Assist in overall management and planning of diocesan Information Service’s needs.
- Support cybersecurity controls, data protection, and incident response procedures.
- Provide technical support leadership as needed to the diocesan offices and parishes.
- Co-manage Information Services projects ensuring timelines, scope, and budgets are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field required.
- 5–7 years of progressive IT experience with leadership responsibilities.

Our Lady of Lourdes, RCC located in Malverne, NY is seeking a Director of Faith Formation. This position provides vision, leadership, and coordination for the parish’s catechetical and evangelization efforts focused on families. This role promotes lifelong faith formation by equipping parents/guardians as primary educators of their children in the Catholic faith to foster a vibrant culture of discipleship and the ongoing spiritual growth of the parish community. Leadership & Vision

Program Development & Coordination

Sacramental Preparation
- Coordinates all aspects of sacramental preparation (First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation) in collaboration with clergy.
Administration
- Manages all program registration, scheduling, and communications.
- Maintains accurate sacramental and participation records.

Collaboration
- Creates a relationship with the Principal, teachers, and staff of the parish school, particularly in the Sacramental field.

Qualifications

St. Anthony of Padua, RCC located in East Northport is seeking a Full-Time Coordinator of the Religious Education Program consisting of two level groups: Levels 1-5 and Levels 6-8.
The coordinator will oversee the Levels 1-5 Program while managing the Levels 6-8 staff member. The candidate should be energetic, versatile, creative, and a faith-filled practicing Catholic to facilitate the Faith Formation Program. This position requires a flexible schedule, averaging 35 hours Monday-Thursday and Saturday, with some evening and weekend availability required. The person is expected to grow in areas of spirituality, education/formation, and personal and professional skills. The individual will report directly to the Pastor.
Pay Rate $22/hour
Duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organize and oversee the religious education program for both Levels 1-5 and Levels 6-8.
- Conduct Parent Meetings for Levels 1 and 2.
- Recruit, develop, and implement training programs for volunteer catechists.
- Recruit and maintain relations with the volunteer staff and generate a welcoming atmosphere for young people and families.
- Responsible for inviting young people of the parish to engage in their faith.
- Facilitate faith formation for students preparing for First Penance and First Holy Communion, including planning parent workshops, rehearsals and sacramental rites with the Pastor.
- Evaluate and purchase curriculum materials for Levels 1-5 and oversee and approve the curriculum materials for Level 6-8.
Job Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in parish life, liturgy, elementary religious education, adult religious education, or small church communities preferred.
- The right candidate will be a practicing Catholic and have a passion for guiding the religious formation of young people and their families.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Theology/Religious Studies or related field preferred.
- The applicant must be a self-starter and possess strong administrative skills to manage the department in an efficient and collaborative manner with the willingness to learn.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with Parish Data Systems preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with others and take initiative.
